Empower Within, LLC is an out of network provider
What does this mean?
I am an Out of Network (OON) provider, which means I do not accept insurance. Clients pay by keeping a credit card on file that is charged after each session, or by cash or check if in person. Though I am not an in-network provider, your insurance company may offer OON benefits. The OON process works by you paying the full session fee upfront, and then I will provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Each insurance plan provides different reimbursement rates, I will explain how to find this information below. In order to provide a superbill, I am required by insurance companies to provide a psychiatric diagnosis, which will be discussed with you throughout treatment.
What to ask your insurance company to learn about your out of network benefits
Do I have out of network benefits for outpatient mental health services?
If doing telehealth therapy - Do you offer out of network benefits for telehealth services?
What is my out of network deductible for individual and/or family? - This will give you an idea of how much money you will need to pay out of pocket before gaining potential reimbursement
What percentage of the fee do I receive for reimbursement after I have met my deductible? Is this percentage of the session fee, or the “usual and customary rate”? - some insurance companies provide a percentage reimbursement of a set rate, regardless of what you pay per session.
How do I submit superbills?
Victim’s Compensation Assistance Program (VCAP)
Pennsylvania offers up to $10,000 towards therapeutic services for victims of sexual assault and crimes. As a VCAP provider, I am able to work with you and receive funding directly from VCAP to help cover therapy services. $170 per session for individuals, families, or couples
Allison Schlegel, LCSW
$165 per session for individuals, families, or couples
Lisa Schick, LAPC
$130 per session for individuals
$150 per session for couples
There are a limited number of sliding scale spots available for clients unable to meet the fee and do not qualify for VCAP
